Into The Unknown

Today will be my first blog ever.  I'm not really sure what I should write about, but i guess it should be about training or something triathlon related because of the name of my blog. So i guess will start writing about that and see just where my writing takes us.

Tuesday, April 3rd. 2:39 pm. I am writing on my girlfriend Beth's computer while she is in the shower.  After this I'm going to watch a TV show with her and then proceed to go do a running and lifting workout at Miramont, where I work, while Beth is in class. I am going to the gym to do this because the weather isn't exactly perfect out, and I don't really feel like being cold on my run.
I am currently working on a running goal that I created for myself a few weeks ago after a not so normal running leg of a triathlon. The goal is to increase my 'easy' mileage pace to about 6:45 per mile from around 7:15.  The plan basically consists of a tempo for every run while progressively getting longer distance.  I started at 3 - 3mile runs, then 4 - 4 mile runs, then 5 - 5 mile runs and so on at the increased pace until i do 7 - 7 mile runs at the pace. Another aspect of my plan is two days of running in a row, then one day of rest. However, I have taken a few more rest days than I have in the plan, but that will only make the pace feel easier for me. Today will be the 4th 4 mile run in my plan.  After the plan is finished, I should theoretically be able to do that pace of a run every time I go on one.
